Why did you run for Scot Council?

With so many changes happening at Wooster this year, I wanted to make sure that the administration listened to student concerns, could be held accountable by students, and were transparent with students about their plans. These concerns are ones that students have always had, but I felt they were especially important now.

The people, the campus, and all the music groups

Why did you run for Scot Council?

Just because a student has spoken up does not mean that they will be taken seriously, and this is why I wanted to run for Scot Council. We, as a community, tell folks to “speak up” so that change can come, but there has been a history of not listening to those that step outside of their comfort zones to address issues affecting them and the larger campus community. And when we fail to listen, we are not only failing them but ourselves. I want to be the person who listens to all AND properly advocates for them to the best of my ability.

Favorite thing about Wooster?

President Bolton. My advisor. And I love the trees—they reminds me of home!

Fun Fact! I like really good tea. I’ve presented at the CDC. I HATE naps. …Figure out the lie 😉
