Why did you run for Scot Council?

I was inspired to run for a seat on Scot Council because of the unique passions, talents, and stories that define the Class of 2022. My time serving on SGA as a Class Representative in previous years was a rewarding experience. I am excited by the opportunity to continue to represent my class and to further contribute to the development of a community where these passions, talents, and stories can flourish. I want to continue to build on Wooster’s tradition of excellence and to ensure that our campus is one where each student voice is heard and one that each student can call home.

Favorite thing about Wooster?

My favorite thing about Wooster is our incredible campus community. The faculty, staff, and students all contribute to that special “Woo” spirit.

Fun Fact! I travelled to El Salvador last year! The cultural immersion trip was part of an experiential learning program through APEX. We explored the cities of San Salvador and Suchitoto, and we worked on a clean water initiative during a homestay in Zacamil Uno.

Why did you run for Scot Council?

I feel that is necessary for minorities, such as myself, and other students with special circumstances to have a voice on this campus. What makes the College of Wooster distinguishable from other schools is the wide variety of backgrounds, experiences, and accomplishments the student body has to offer. While the College of Wooster is very intentional about constituting a diverse institution, I firmly believe that more can be done to maintain an environment that is comfortable for all students, faculty, and staff.
