Why did you run for Scot Council?
I have always been passionate about Wooster’s student government since it has been a vehicle to make campus a better, more inclusive space. I am so proud of the work that my peers have done to create a better form of student government, and I wanted to aid in the historic merge of our two governing bodies.

Why did you run for Scot Council?
I initially ran for student govt my first year because I was interested in representing my peers and keeping the administration in check. I ran for re-election this year because I truly believe that Scot Council is bringing the best qualities from SGA & Campus Council together to create a body that will best fulfill the needs of the students. I feel like it’s my responsibility to give everything I have to make sure that’s the case.

Why did you run for Scot Council?
I was part of SGA last year when the transition to Scot Council was occurring, and I was really excited to be a part of the change. I saw the inefficiencies and challenges that existed in the older student government bodies, and I wanted to be part of making a more effective organization for student advocacy on campus. Being on campus for the last three years has allowed me to meet a wide range of students from many different groups on campus. Having listened to student concerns, I think I can help to raise issues to SC and problem-solve to improve student life on campus.

Fun Fact! In high school I made over 1000 origami paper cranes (which are now hanging on strings from my bedroom ceiling).

Why did you run for Scot Council?
Although Wooster has a wonderful and diverse community, there have been many instances when the voices and perspectives of minorities have not been heard. I want to make sure that everyone is given a fair space to voice their concerns since that is incredibly important. Being on Scot Council, I want to play a role in making sure that it is visible and accessible to the campus community so that it can effectively represent the interests of everyone on campus.
